I grew up in Howell County, Missouri and absolutely love the trees and hills of the countryside. Samantha and I met in high school and we've been together ever since. This July we'll be celebrating 30 years of marriage. We've moved around a bit and currently we are in Mayo, FL.
Samantha grew up in Chicago, but her mom moved them to a little 60 acre farm in Southern Missouri. When we met, here is this teenage city girl, riding an old Popping Johnny (John Deere), brushhogging a field, so of course I was interested.
Right now, this pandemic has a silver lining for us. It's opened the door for Samantha's company to allow her to work remotely again and so I am excited to be returning to preaching after a short break. I love preaching, teaching, holding home bible studies, and working with the youth of a congregation and while I've been busy filling in for local churches of Christ, I'm excited to be able to get back to full-time work.
We have 5 children and 4 grandchildren. We had decided to only have 1 child and stop there, but God placed 4 kiddos in front of us that needed a Mom and Dad and we couldn't say no.
Now, we are moving one more time - back to Missouri. With grandkids and my parents being there, it is time to be close to family.
